With quick and easy access to Number Lookup, you can enhance your communications and keep your database as clean as a whistle. Number Lookup checks against first-party numbering sources and provides real-time feedback. Improve communication by validating and verifying numbers, boosting delivery conversion rates, and saving money on marketing campaigns. Line Type identification schema

The Line Type identification object contains the following properties:

Property Description
carrier The name of the mobile network operator that provides the phone service for the number (e.g., Verizon, AT&T, Vodafone).
Note: Port-corrected carrier is only available for US/CA regions.
type Indicates the type of phone number, such as whether it is a mobile, landline, VoIP (Voice over IP), or other types of numbers.

mobileCountrycode A 3-digit code that identifies the country of the mobile phone number. For example, the MCC for the United States is 310. MCC is only returned for mobile numbers.
mobileNetworkCode A 2- or 3-digit code that identifies the specific mobile carrier or network within the country. It is used together with the MCC to determine the exact carrier. MNC is only returned for mobile numbers.
ported Indicates whether the phone number has been transferred (ported) from one carrier to another. "Ported" means the number is no longer with the original carrier.
Note: This property is only available for US/CA regions.
portingDate If the phone number has been ported, this field will show the date and timestamp when the porting occurred.

countryCode The international dialing code for the country where the phone number is registered. For example, the country code for the US is +1.
traceId A unique identifier that helps track and troubleshoot specific queries or requests, useful for support teams when investigating issues.

The type property is an enum that can have the following possible values:

Value Description
Landline A traditional phone connected through the Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) via copper wires or fiber optic cables. Typically, it does not support SMS.
Mobile A cellular phone that connects wirelessly to networks, allowing voice calls and SMS.
VoIP An internet-based phone service or virtual number.
Special Includes fax and pager numbers, used for specific communication methods beyond standard voice calls.
Free phone Calling card, freephone, home country direct, intelligent network, international and personal numbering are grouped in free phone.
Others Any other type of number not fitting into the above categories.

Line type coverage

We provide worldwide coverage for line type identification. However, not all line type values are available in every country. Availability depends on whether the specific line type is regulated within a given country.

Rate Limit

To enhance our service efficiency, we have implemented a rate-limiting mechanism for the Number Lookup API.

The Number Lookup API offers three tiers to cater to different customer needs:

Tier Requests per second
Basic Tier (default) 10
Premium Tier 100, available upon request via our support team
Custom Tier For enterprise customers with specific requirements, the rate limit can be customized based on your application configuration. Please contact our support team to discuss your needs and configure the rate limit accordingly.
