Getting started with WhatsApp

To create your first WhatsApp sender you must first agree to the Pricing Plan.

Once the Pricing Plan has been attached to your account you can then start using the Provisioning API for creating and managing WhatsApp Senders and Templates.

Embedded Signup

The Embedded Signup (ES) sender creates a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) as part of the processed which is owned and managed by the Business Entity wanting to send WhatsApp messages. The process requires an embedded HTML element on a website that is used to create the WABA and Sender. However, the process once completed is quicker and the Sender will be ready to send messages within minutes.

Partner-initiated WABA creation

As part of the partner-initiated account creation process, a WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) and an optional sender are created. These assets are owned by the business customer and can be managed by either Sinch or the customer using WhatsApp messaging. This process does not require any embedded HTML elements on a website. However, it does require providing additional business information to Meta to initiate account creation. The overall setup may take some time, as it currently includes a Meta-imposed manual step on Sinch’s side, and Meta may also need to verify the business customer before the sender can begin sending messages.

Multi-Partner Solution

The Multi-Partner Solution (MPS) enables support for ASP customers.

Templates

If you have already used the Dashboard to create a sender and want to manage templates, you can skip to the template section.
