# Getting started

Before you can start using the Sinch Push SDKs, you need an account and your access keys.

## 1. Sign up

Sign up for an account on the Sinch Build Dashboard: Using the SMS API starts with the Sinch Build Dashboard. [Sign up for a free account](https://dashboard.sinch.com/signup). If you already have an account, skip this step.

## 2. Create a Sinch Push Client

To send messages using Sinch Push, you need to [create a Sinch Push client in your dashboard](https://community.sinch.com/t5/Conversation-API/tkb-p/ConversationAPI).

Note:
Sinch Push uses Conversation API to send messages, so you'll also need a Conversation API app.
