Imported Numbers
You can import non-Sinch numbers and enable them for use with Sinch SMS messaging services. For most numbers, the following process outlines the necessary steps:
- Add numbers using the Create Batch request.
- Verify ownership of the numbers. This can be done in either the of the following ways:
- Request a voice call to the number and return the OTP code.
- Email invoices which prove you own the numbers to orders@sinch.com.
Note:
Ensure the invoices you provide explicitly list the numbers you wish to import.
- Text enable the qualified numbers. Note that only numbers which have been qualified can be text enabled. The text enablement request will generate a Letter of Authorization (LOA) which will be emailed to the email address you provided in the request. You must e-sign the LOA to text enable the numbers.
- Once the numbers have been text enabled, they are imported numbers and can be be provisioned to SMS plans, linked to campaigns, and used for SMS traffic.
Note:
Only US and Canada numbers can be imported for use with SMS services.
If you have a phone number with a NetNumber ID already provisioned for Sinch, you can import numbers directly and start assigning them to SMS service plans and campaigns.
